Description 1900 (Circa). De AVENUE DES COURSES (Thans Koningin ASTRIDLAAN). Op de voorgrond, de achtertuinen van de huizen gelegen in de Wellingtonstraat (rechts). Tussen deze tuinen en het CHALET ROYAL, gebouw centraal op de achtergrond, lag de AVENUE DES COURSES (KOERSENLAAN). Deze laan werd na de Eerste-Wereldoorlog omgedoopt in GENERAAL JUNGBLUTHLAAN. Eind augustus 1938 kreeg deze laan haar huidige benaming: KONINGIN ASTRIDLAAN.
