EID Méditerranée, is a public institute, based in Montpellier, works towards:

  • Dune rehabilitation, survey and monitoring of the beach
  • Regional planning and development
  • Anthropogenic and natural-risk
  • Assessment of new monitoring tools
  • Mosquito control

The organisation has 150 employees, including over 100 scientists, engineers and technicians. The area where EID Méditerranée works is included all around the French Mediterranean sea. The littoral research unit (10 permanent
members) deals with a broad range of application interests: coastal dynamics monitoring, instrumentation developments and numerical modelling of hydrodynamics and morphodynamics., It is associated with environmental economists in partnerships.
