Analysis of life-history syndromes responsible for the vulnerability of arthropods from dynamic coastal dunes
Dutch title: Analyse van levensgeschiedenissyndromen verantwoordelijk voor de kwetsbaarheid van de arthropoden fauna van stuifduinen
Period: October 2006 till September 2008
Status: Completed

Thesaurus terms Biodiversity; Dynamics; Life history
The presence of natural dynamics in coastal dunes is a prerequisite for the conservation of natural communities of pre-adapted species. In these ecosystems, aeolian dynamics are hampered due to anthropogenic influences. To document and understand prevalent shifts in ibodiversity, a mechanistic approach to study shifts in life-history syndromes and fitness-related treats of specialised arthropods will be implemented.
