Mangroves are intertidal forests: they protect the coastal zone and have a high-production. It are spawning- and nursery grounds for fish, Crustaceans and molluscs. The working of the ecosystem is studied (Nitrogen and Carbon fluxes) the inventarization is completed ( a lot of, for science, new species) and reforestration is carried out. An oysterculture is set up. Fish-culturing will follow. Mangroves are as important and fragile as the tropical rainforest.
