During four deep-sea oceanographic cruises, seven species of Sorberacea have been collected. Thre new species are described. The carnivorous Tunicates are no longer a rare zoological curiosity but a class present in all oceanic deep bottoms. The increase of samplings has enlarged the number of species. The specific and generic variability reveals the importance of this evolutionary direction of the Tunicata.
