Abstract
The reproductive potential of 3 harpacticoid and 1 cyclopoid copepods, measured by the intrinsic rate of natural increase, was calculated from field data. Calculated values are much smaller than those obtained from laboratory experiments. The difference between species is small and cannot account for differences in occurrence.
