Cypria subsalsa REDEKE, 1936, een slecht bekende ostracodensoort uit België en Nederland, wordt in detail herbeschreven en afgebeeld. De verspreiding en oecologie worden besproken. Het betreft een soort die uitsluitend in oligohaliene en mesohaliene milieus voorkomt.
