Abstract
    Mating and moulting of Diogenes pugilator (Roux, 1829) has been observed in the sandy intertidal, and around low tide, on the coast of Texel (The Netherlands). There are, on the basis of field observations, indications for circatidal and circasemilunar rhytms in moulting, and possibly also in mating.
