Description
Data represent the abundance of invertebrates and the percentage cover of algae in mid- and lowshore habitats of rocky shores in seven locations along the Ionian coast of Greece. The general aim of the study was to examine the spatial patterns in the assemblages of these mid- and lowshore habitats on different spatial scale more

Data came from study of patterns of distribution of benthic sessile assemlages (Ionian Sea, Greece). Data were collected in June 2001. Sampling was carried out in 7 random location along the Greek rocky coast 10s-100s of km apart one each other. At each location, 4 sites (separated by 100s - 1000s of m) were randomly selected. At each of the 56 sites, four habitats, namely the mid-shore assemblage (0.2-0.4 m above the sea level), the low-shore assemblage (intertidal zone), the subtidal at 5 m depth, and the subtidal at 15 m depth were sampled. the number of replicate is 4 for high and low shore and 10 for both depths in the subtidal
