Laboratoire Environnement Ressources Provence Azur Corse (IFREMER-LERPAC)

The LITTORAL unit of IFREMER's Oceanography and Ecosystem Dynamics department is dedicated to the observation, study and expertise on coastal ecosystems through monitoring networks deployed throughout the territory, which it operates or supervises. It is made up of 9 Environment and Resources Laboratories.
The main missions of these laboratories are
- coastal observation (monitoring networks and diagnostics of the quality of the marine environment);
- the study of coastal and shellfish farming ecosystems;
- integrated regional research and studies (shoreline / watershed interaction), with a national and European vision;
- monitoring the quality of aquaculture products in the natural environment;
- carrying out expert assessments;
- issuing advice to the decentralized government services;
- the development and transfer of knowledge.
