Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue
https://parcmarincotebleue.fr/

The Côte Bleue Marine Park is an original structure, which has been based since its creation on close cooperation between local authorities and professional fishing organizations. Originally established on the basis of several marine culture concessions, the Marine Park, whose objectives were inspired by those of the Regional Natural Parks, was managed until 2000 by an association which transformed into a mixed union and public establishment.

This development has made it possible to bring together in a more official and lasting way the communities concerned: the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône, the municipalities of Martigues, Sausset-les-Pins, Carry-le -Rouet, Ensuès-la-Redonne, le Rove, and professional fishing organizations (the Regional Committee for Maritime Fisheries and Marine Farming, the Prud'homies of Marseille and Martigues). The area of intervention of the joint association extends over the entire coastline of the Côte Bleue, i.e. 43 km of coastline, from Anse des Laurons in the west, to Pointe de Corbières in the east, and on the adjacent marine environment up to 6 nautical miles offshore. He intervenes in front of the municipalities of Martigues, Sausset les Pins, Carry-le-Rouet, Ensuès-la-Redonne and le Rove.

The Côte Bleue Marine Park manages:

  • the protected marine area of Carry-le-Rouet,
  • the Cap-Couronne marine protected area,
  • all artificial reef developments in front of Niolon, Ensues-la-Redonne, Carry-le-Rouet, Sausset les Pins and La Couronne-Carro.
