Multitrophic Interactions Department (KNAW)
The department investigates interactions between plants, above- and belowground herbivores, pathogens, and their natural enemies in order to understand:
* cues and mechanisms involved in above-belowground interactions
* the evolution of plant defence against herbivores and pathogens
* biodiversity and ecosystem functioning from a multitrophic perspective
* invasions of species when released from their natural enemies.
