The Master of Science in Aquaculture is a two years' programme at a university level on the most important aspects of aquaculture for both marine and freshwater organisms. This programme aims to deliver researchers able to perform and supervise research various aquaculture fields; to deliver experts who can draw and implement strategies for future development in the aquaculture industry; to form key persons who can act as a nucleus in their local environment through dissemination and teaching their acquired knowledge.

In the first semester basic knowledge such as biology, physiology, microbiology, statistics, informatics are broadened/refreshed. The second semester and the second year focuses on specific aspects of aquaculture: larval culture, production techniques, hygiene & disease control… The whole first semester of the second year students will follow the MSc programme of the Wageningen University and Research Center (The Netherlands) as an exchange programme between both universities. In the last semester thesis work is performed in on of the participating universities.
