The Belgica multibeam retrodifused signals are used for sea bed identification. Calibration of such signal is needed. A joint project between MUMM and FPS Economy aims to use geo-referenced underwater image and sand tickness in-situ measurements to achieve the goal. Scientific divers will take the samples. For 2010 hinderbanks emphasis will be on the hinderbank exploration zone.
