In aquaculture, the rotifer Brachionus plicatilis is commonly used as live feed for marine fish larvae. Bacteria associated with rotifers contribute to the poor reproductibility in terms of survival and growth of rotifer cultures. As a consequence, in this study an attempt has been made to control the microbial communities by means of the addition of probionts.
