The aim to the project is the development of a mathematical model to calculate the transport of non-cohesive sediments due to irregular waves and currents. First, the theory will be developed for regular waves. Later, the theory will be enlarged for irregular waves, represented by their energy-spectrum. Experiments with a physical model will check and calibrate the results.
