This two-volume work provides an illustrated family-level overview of the diversity of the whole of the Copepoda, with the aim of facilitating the identification of both new and existing species. For each family it gives a diagnosis (the typical character set, and an indication of variation), a list of genera, notes on important taxonomic issues, a key to the genera (often adapted from other sources) and introductory notes on biology.
