Abstract
In view of a hydrogeological study, twenty borings have been drilled until the substratum of the unconfined aquifer was reached. The results of the borings allow to dress a lithostratigraphical section. The lithostratigraphical units are deduced from the grainsize distribution, which also permitted an estimation of the hydraulic conductivity. The unconfined aquifer is clearly stratified. It consists of an alternation of pervious layers, having different hydraulic conductivities, and discontinuous semi-pervious layers. Groundwater flow is influenced by structure, extention and hydraulic conductivity of the pervious and semi-pervious layers.
